Visual Art – Connecticut

I am a woman, a mother, an artist and educator based in Bridgeport, CT, working through canvas, paper, and photography. I have an intense love of color, dimension and texture. My art style is urban abstract; a little bit cultural, a lot a bit colorful and very organic. And I would say that my art is very informed by and concerned with my culture as well as my position as a woman in the world. My art, for me, is about beauty and that’s where it starts for me… Professionally, I’m co-curator of the Beautiful Crime: graffiti and pop-art exhibit at Read’s Artspace and worked as part of the planning team for the Bridgeport Arts fest. I’ve also exhibited with the John Slade Ely House, The Peace Project tour, City Lights gallery, Gallery 999, Gallery 305K and various other events and exhibits.
