Visual Art – Denver
Hi, my name is Aleece; I am an Artist and Designer native to Denver who loves to create unique and beautiful pieces of art.
As long as I can remember I have been an artist. My mother recognized my talent at a young age and nurtured my creative spirit with additional art and craft classes and activities. My own style started to come out with my rebellious spirit in middle school, and was supported by my many open minded teachers in high school. I took all of the drawing, painting and digital technology classes that I could at that time to further develop my style, creativity and uniqueness. I decided to pursue a career in graphic design for print and in 2008 I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Visual Communications. Now, with ten years of experience in the print and design industry I have accomplished many of my career goals and am living my dream of showing my art in local galleries.
As a digital designer by day, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are always very fun to use for my own creations. I love to sketch, color with markers, ink and write little bits of poetry in the margins, but my favorite mediums by far are graphite pencil, watercolor and colored pencils.
Besides all Art; I have a deep love for music, books, theatre and human anatomy which definitely translates into my art. Whether through my portrait work or illustrations; I gain most of my inspiration through other artists, whimsical and or sometimes dark and weird stories, anatomical drawings, music and all kinds of theatrical art. I create an original story for all of my illustrations. I keep my childhood imagination alive by focusing on feelings and details of the story I am trying to tell with my pieces. Each piece of art I create is a piece of my own personal wonderland, they are all connected and a reflection of my
