Visual Art – Melbourne

I am an artist, currently primarily working on small pieces in watercolour. I really enjoy painting the human face, and most of my portfolio is taken with small and large pictures of women's faces. I've also recently been experimenting with abstract work, partially to feel a little looser in my brush work and control, but also because as I get older I find I really enjoy the open-ended way abstract work speaks to the viewer. I'm South Australian by birth, but spent the last 7 years in Brisbane. I've recently moved to Melbourne, and am excited for the arts scene down here. I'm quite over qualified (I have degrees in anthropology, criminology and history), a little bit geeky, and embrace my cat lady status (with my husband who is a cat-gentleman).
