Visual Art – San Antonio

Originally from Detroit, Michigan, transplanted to San Antonio fairly young. My passion has always been to create, even through my years playing basketball in college and on to coaching in my teaching career. My passion led me to teaching middle school art and moving forward with showcasing my work as much as possible. I truly love giving the audience a sense of feeling like they need to go back and take a second look, or get a little closer, to stimulate some conversation. I have mainly worked w color pencil but slowly venturing out into other media. It’s been a challenge since I’ve really fallen in love w the precision I can get w the pencil. People always ask me what’s my favorite medium and I have to say...there’s just too many to pick from. (But if I’m being super honest, color pencil and digital are kind of my jam right now!) I have been fortunate to showcase in the 2018 Artist’s Who Teach Show receiving 4th place. Spring of 2019 I showed w three others at Dockspace Gallery hosted by Bill Fitzgibbons. I will also be traveling to Houston on June 1st where I will have work on display at the Pancakes and Booze Art Show.
