Visual Art – Dallas - Fort Worth

Hi! My name is Amelia Richard (friends call me Millie). I come from a professional artistic family. We went to art galleries and museums almost every weekend. I was blessed with consistently being surrounded by the best in the art world. I have traveled to Europe several times and got to see the world through my artistic parents eyes. I have an amazing and supportive husband who has been very patient with me and my artistic journey. I am also a mom of twins, a boy and a girl. They keep me going! I have been doing graphic design freelance for the past five years and I currently work for a nonprofit called Food Equality Initiative as the Marketing and Creative Director. I enjoy the work I do. I am able to help others by using my skills and talents and it’s been a real blessing getting up every morning with this thought. I have a degree in Interior Architecture and Design from San Francisco's Academy of Art University. There I found the mediums I love the most that really works with my style: Pencil drawings and sketches, colored pencils/ watercolor, and vector art in illustrator. My illustrations and designs have a bit of realism to them but with the wide-eyed love of all things fantasy. I paint to create a beautiful and fanciful world. I am inspired by nature and fairytales and have created my own bouquet of flowers that I include in just about everything that I create. I have several published coloring books and downloadable coloring pages. Mixed media art is my passion and I like to use several types of mediums in all my work. My favorite mediums are ink, color pencil and watercolor.
