Angela Douglas

Visual Art – San Francisco

Douglas is a California based creative working at the intersection of art and gardening. Her practice is fueled by a profound hunger to develop a deeply nourishing connection to community and the Earth; through, cultivating a practice around nature awareness with whole system’s ecology. She questions and researches ways in which contemporary art can add to the discussion of food production, land use, and the building of community. With a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree, Douglas incorporates the visual arts in her practice. She has been documenting her experiential research in nature awareness and food studies through creating a number of two-dimensional drawings and paintings, photographs, illustrating menus, a garden mural, and urban gardening.
