Fashion – Atlanta
"And now coming to the stage we have Aqua Jo! " announced the host at Clark Atlanta Universitys' spring fest fashion show. My teeth clenched, my heart dropped as this was my very first fashion show and I did not know what reaction to expect from the large opinionated crowd . My name is Shaynequa Jones and I am a self-taught fashion designer from Miami , Florida. At the age of 20 I took a leap of faith and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia to fulfill my hearts desire and pursue my career in fashion design. Currently, at the age of 23 I am proud to say that I embrace my wounds and I've used my many obstacles as stepping stones. I am finally charged up and simply thrilled to dominate the fashion world with my daring yet stunning designs,one garment at a time. Ultimately , I plan to utilize my skills and become one of the top African American female designers ever to emerge. Stay tuned, because the best is yet to come from AquaJo.
