I began making handbags ten years ago and my journey led me to discover German wool felt. The material is lightweight, durable, biodegradable and naturally water resistant. The bags made of this wonderful wool felt have a textural quality that is satisfying to the touch and hard to translate in a photo. The bags are much better in person! The satisfaction in creating these bags comes from being able to travel through the entire process: from an idea, to a design, to fabrication, and to the final product. The best part--I enjoy using my own handmade felt bags! I am a native San Franciscan, my profession is dental hygiene, but my passion is making handbags.
