Visual Art – Salt Lake City
I am a multi-media artist, self-taught. My inspiration has been the impressionists, and children’s literature. I was raised on the beautiful watercolors of Beatrix Potter, the whimsical fun of Bill Pete, and many others. I used to try to reproduce them when I was a child and loved to draw. I have been painting for about ten years. I didn't become very passionate about it until I lost a brother about five years ago. Painting has become an outlet for feelings that I can't express in any other medium. Like Van Gogh, I find that color shines brighter in contrast to the darkness of personal tragedy and adversity.
