Photography – San Francisco

Peace Punk and Dance Artist working in photography. Brechin is an award-winning independent artist whose career spans many roles. She is known for founding and directing the San Francisco Butoh Festival; facilitating collaborations among diverse artists as a Guest Dance Curator at the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival; handling Public Relations, Marketing, and Fundraising for a wide variety of Bay Area performing arts groups. She is still working with Flyaway Productions and the San Francisco International Hip Hop DanceFest. In the last few years, Brechin started working professionally in the field of photography as a preschool and portrait photographer/business owner via Miss Beez Twinkletoes-Photography for Kids. Brechin's photographs have been published in The National March for Science (2018, NMS-MIT), and in two books by Flyaway Productions (2017, 2018). She is also a contributor to the The Routledge Companion for Butoh Performance (edited by Bruce Baird and Rosemary Calendario, pub 2019). Brechin graduated from Antioch College (OH) with a bunch of talented artists, including the seminal underground punk band The Gits; and studied at the Theaterschool for New Dance Development (Amsterdam). She is a longtime resident of the San Francisco Mission district.
