Cat + Fish Dances

Performing Art – Salt Lake City

Cat + Fish Dances is a project-based dance company comprised of 10 members. Founded in 2015 under the direction of Cat Kamrath, Cat + Fish Dances has performed their works at the University of Utah and the Great Salt Lake Fringe Festival. Their current research interests include looking at the architecture of the human body and performance spaces. Current movement repetoire include 'Swims Our Blood' (2014), 'Fibers' (2015), and 'Filament' (2016). Cat Kamrath, artistic director of Cat + Fish Dances, is a dance artist currently residing in Salt Lake City, UT. As a dance performer, choreographer, filmmaker, and educator, her career has spanned throughout the state of California and now east into the mountains. She received her MFA in Modern Dance from the University of Utah in 2016 and her BA in Dance with honors from Loyola Marymount University in 2013. Cat is a Certified Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analyst, studying with Integrated Movement Studies program. As a teaching artist, she has taught throughout California, the Salt Lake Valley, and the University of Utah.
