Chelsea Holdsworth is a self taught artist born July 30, 1993 and raised in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Her artistry began young, growing up around aunts that painted who inspired her to explore her own artistic ability. Chelsea's daily doodles as a girl began a lifelong dream and aspiration. She is currently attending Kwantlen Polytechnic University majoring in Fine Arts.
Chelsea’s work tends to have a darker edge while still maintaining a subtle beauty. With a focus on detail and rich value and colour palette. She works with a wide variety of mediums including ink, charcoal, water colour, and acrylic. Hyper realism is a field that she specializes in. However the tattoo culture has had a big impact on her work within the last few years. The tattoo world has inspired her to take realism and intertwine it with traditional tattoo elements. She continues to do commissioned work, sell prints, and show her work in local art shows and galleries.
