Visual Art – Chicago
Born in Lima,Peru but raised in the suburbs of Chicago. My name is Anthony Gutierrez, aka "Guti". I love to draw and just recently started painting. I love creating abstract work because it allows the viewer lots of room for imagination. Everyone analyzes or views things differently and it's exciting to see what the viewer sees or even feels from looking at a piece. Usually my drawings start with lines and shapes and eventually morph into an abstract piece of work. I am self taught and am learning new things everyday. While I do not have a favorite medium yet because I am constantly trying new ones, I have been enjoying acrylic painting as of lately and look forward to painting some of my drawings in the future as well. My most current work includes a fluid pour background and stencils that I traced and cut out myself.
