Julie Okely, a Kamilaroi woman, has been involved in business from the tender age of 19, when she bought her first Hairdressing Salon in Sydney whilst still in the fourth year of her hairdressing apprenticeship.
This successful ownership led to an interest in buying and developing of a total of five additional hair salons to her professional portfolio, with them being based in both Sydney and Canberra.
Julie has a wealth of experience and is passionate about her skills. Julie is a qualified Beauty Therapist, Makeup Artist, Teacher, Presenter and Project Manager.
Currently, Julie owns two hairdressing salons in Canberra, Dilkara Hair and Club Hair with co-owner Emma.
Julie\'s latest project of passion is working with the ACT Government to create the Dilkara Essence of Australia Indigenous hair product range with a focus on National and International distribution.
