Visual Art – New York - NYC

Hey there ! My Name is Esteban, growing up in the south has given me an understanding of the discrimination we face as Latinos; I became an artist as a mean of coping with the influences around me such as gang-banging, drugs/alcohol, and dropping out of school like many of my peers have done. I moved to New York City about 2 years ago, to peruse an education in Animation and Motion Graphics where I plan on making a kids show that will speak to the minority children in many of our communities. I am also currently attending Steve Walker’s Comics and sequential art class, at the Art students league where I am currently working on a 22 page comic about my experience in the south. Apart from my regular art, I do a variety of works that include: painting, street art, murals, sketching from life, surrealism and realism, digital work, story boarding, and protest art. I’ve done a couple of canvases for Latino organizations at Columbia University, that speak for people going through deportation due to DACA related incidents, unity of our nations in America, and oppression. They continue to use my Art, as a way of protesting peacefully for what we believe in.
