Virginia is the artist, designer and owner behind Feathers of Artemis, a feather based accessory, haute couture, and belly dance attire company that began in 2009. The ties to Artemis- the Greek goddess of the hunt- first originated in the tribal elements of Virginia's work when she worked as an archaeologist in the Northeast. Then, as she traveled, these tribal themes became more universal. Inspired by years of living abroad- from Japan, Nepal, Austria, Thailand, to the UK - Feathers of Artemis has drawn inspiration from multiple time periods and cultures.
