Govt Cheaze

Govt Cheaze sits squarely in the crossroads of underground hip-hop and alternative rock. Govt Cheaze was formed in 2000 by Kameelah Waheed and has consised of 5-7 members that has ranged from DJ, drums, singer, guitarist, bass, hypeman, and percussionist. The band completed an Ep with Larry Gold of Philadelphia International fame (2003) and was signed to PTME records (2007) under Will SMith sr and produced by grammy award winning producer DMoet (NAS, Foxy Brown). The band serves audiences with highly energetic shows, classic hip-hop covers and passionate lyrical prowess. Claiming Philly as there home the band has appeared in Philadelphia's City Paper, featured performers in Philadelphia Weekly's concert event and on ABC channel 6 as band to watch.
