Heidi Chartrand

Visual Art – Victoria

Heidi Chartrand is a self taught artist living in Metchosin, BC. When she’s not under a horse working as a barefoot trimmer, she relaxes by painting skulls. Heidi studies the shapes in the bones and allows the animals to guide her in creating a pattern as individual as the animal itself. The largest piece she has completed was a draft horse skull that took 130 hours. This emerging artist’s work has been exhibited in Alberta at The Calgary Stampede (2018), in British Columbia at The Sooke Fine Arts Show (2017), The Sidney Fine Arts Show (2017 &2018;) and local galleries.
