good god I\'m a jewelry artist.....how did this happen?
my story begins many years ago, on a silent, vegetarian yoga retreat......
i don\'t know if I lost it bc I could not gab, or bc of the lack of meat......but I had a vision, and a jewelry artist was born.....
NAW, I\'m just playing with you! (well, the retreat part Is true.)
I have always been disgustingly crafty, you know, the early Martha Stewart kind...\"let\'s make that 200 pound tree stump into a coffee table, you can get that into the car honey, right?\" ( also a true story :)) and loved jewelry and bling....shopping at craft fairs and boutiques that had unique jewelry. I stored that passion into my subconscious until I finished nursing school, got married, had kids, yadayadayada.
Finally I had the chance to take some courses and learn how to make jewelry. The last 4 years I have been able to find my \"voice\",my style, and perfect my craft. I adore bling, vintage, deco and old things...and I like to up-cycle all these components into my jewelry line. How wonderful is it to wear a piece of jewelry designed and made from vintage earrings, or brooches, or crystals? I love to think about : what kind of person wore it? where did they wear it? Then redesign it into a unique and limited, retro-metro, up-cycled piece of art jewelry! that\'s what makes YOU the Cat\'s Meow.
I am always researching and learning, and hopefully pushing myself creatively to make really great pieces of art jewelry
