Visual Art – Canberra

I sold my first artwork for $5 at Bondi Markets and it was all the encouragement I needed to keep going. Someone once asked me what I did and I replied 'artist'. He said there is nothing more important in the world to do if you have that talent. That remains with me today. I am a landscape artist working in found and recycled media, oils, acrylic. lino printing, I have a textile design background so I love knitting, and construction of materials especially plastic bags. With the obvious message about plastic in the environment.. 2016 saw my first international group show at the Brick Lane Gallery in London, shortlisted for the Brisbane Art Prize and the joint winner of the inaugural Sheridan Evans Art Award for artwork relating to ocean pools. I am very excited about my first RAW Showcase.
