I have always found something captivating about a good portrait. Growing up, I would create bizarre collages out of paper that I ripped out of my parent's magazines. Surprisingly this became a large part of what makes my art unique. Many of my pieces still use collaged paper as the background, but now feature full detail acrylic portrait paintings. The contrast between the collaged backgrounds and the paint make for the portraits to really come to life.
