Jordan Clayton

I am a young painter working on finishing a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Ottawa. Through my work I explore the limitations of representation and figuration. Using my interests in the microscopic as foundation, I am able to push the limits of figuration and represent things that would elude the unaided human eye. I also carry interests in social injustices, queer theory, and the western Gay Rights Movement. These interests also inform my work, however my current practice is centred around formalism and image rather than narrative.
