Andrew Karaman

I am a local artist. I dabble in various art fields but i prefer photography and ceramics. I like to photograph nature, architecture, and luminescent subjects such as fireworks. In my work I strive to spark the imagination with fun playful kaleidoscope style images. I experiment with a photograph, play with the angles and shapes. I would say the purpose of my art is to invoke an emotion, usually a smile and also to have someone give a second look at the world around them. I am currently experimenting with adding a 3rd dimension to these fractal photographs using origami which I will be displaying for the first time at Raw.
