The creative works of prolific artist & photographer Kelley Jakelis is as varied as her travels. Having lived all over the country, from the east coast to the west coast. Kelley studied at The Philadelphia Art Institutes, The Dallas Art Institute, and Austin community college. Along with instructing and fascinating various artistic classes and creative workshops for studios, colleges, and guest artist for group events. She enjoys having affiliations and involvement with various cultural art and community organizations internationally and though out the United States. Her work has been displayed in magazines, galleries, events and festivals across the country and numerous private collections worldwide. Kelley finds inspiration in her love for her animals, nature, family, friends, and most of all from spirit. She gives a percentage of the proceeds from her artwork and photography back into communities through donations and participation in projects and programs with a grassroots organization. A Circle Of Love Inc, (acol.org) art with a purpose, which she founded in 2011. A nonprofit 501(c) (3) cultural arts and humanitarian organization benefiting communities, youth development, and animal rescues. Kelley is a professional mixed media artist and freelance photographer, who explores a variation of combinations in creative techniques. At times, she uses color manipulation, painting and inks, and various elements of mixed media that add a kaleidoscope of colors to her photographed images and artwork. As an artist, she believes one of the most exciting elements of mixed media art, is that it is a pioneering and continuously evolving form of art. That the materials used in the creative process have endless possibilities, allowing for great flexibility and freedom in creating art that adapts well to a wide array of styles.
