Kyaunna Hall is a self-taught freelance photographer. In addition to her art pieces showcasing primarily nature, maintains a thriving photography business, K Fresh Photography. In which she shoots with both a Canon and Nikon digital camera, she blesses many doing nightclub events along with private family events and portraits too. K Fresh Photography is named for the “K” in her first name. “Fresh” was a nickname given from her teen years playing kickball. He was fascinated by the way she kicked the ball so high and called it fresh and then named her after it. Kyaunna’s fascination with photography begins when she was a pre teen purchasing disposable cameras with her saved allowance at CVS near her house. Now she is shooting with a Canon Rebel XSI for portrait photos and Nikon D3000 for various events and nature/outdoor photos. K Fresh Photography began in nightclubs. She would take photos of club-goers, DJ’s, professional athletes and performers. Kyaunna will be lucky enough to catch a performance. Being dedicated and meeting new people led to more jobs including birthday parties, baby showers and photo shoots as well as her art pieces. The nature part of K Fresh Photography came from just loving nature growing up. Kyaunna was a tomboy climbing trees, looking for worms under rocks, trekking through woods and waiting for trees to change color. But when Kyaunna got her first digital camera, she was able to join her love of nature and photography in a way that has fulfilled her experience. As far as K Fresh Photography portraits, Kyaunna began working at a Portrait Studio to learn more about photography and to build her knowledge. From there, Kyaunna begin taking portraits at either a studio owned by a fellow photographer or doing outdoor shots. In order to further her study on photography, Kyaunna attended Quincy College where she took a digital photography class to learn the mechanics of the digital camera as well as being introduced to Adobe Photoshop. Currently, Kyaunna continues to build her portfolio. She still takes portraits, photos at nightclubs and private family events in addition to capturing nature photographs. Also, Kyaunna is actively searching for art shows and galleries to showcase her work. Hopefully, someday Kyaunna’s work will be seen in magazines and billboards.
