Performing Art – Houston

Cristala is a trained dancer of 20 years and has been featured on local television and danced on national television. She has her B.A. in Communicative Disorders with a minor in Spanish from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), and recently finished her graduate certificate from Texas A&M University (College Station) in Non-Profit Leadership and Management. She uses dance as her platform to mentor dancers, young and old, as well as empower communities in the Houston area through the arts. She's worked with several dance companies, studios, and churches in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Georgia. Cristala is heavily involved in the dance and entertainment scene in Houston and has completed work with World of Dance (Los Angeles), H-town Sneaker Summit, Houston Margarita Fest and Woodlands Margarita Fest, NRG Energy and Carnival Houston. She has also made appearances with KPRC Channel 2, KTRK Channel 13, KHOU Channel 11, and 97.9 The Boxx. Cristala is also contracted with Lone Star College Cy-Fair as a choreographer. She has partnered with Soundbox Studios and So Real Crew that has been featured on MTV's America's Best Dance Crew. She currently serves as Artistic Director for HeartBEAT Houston Dance and Fitness in Houston, TX, and Vice-President for HeartBEAT Performing Arts Charities, and continues to work on several forthcoming projects and events around Houston
