Visual Art – Minneapolis

Painter/Writer/Actor sounds better than "Unemployed Misanthrope". I stole that line from someone, but as Picasso said, "Bad artists copy, good artists steal". I'm not really the type of person who goes around quoting Picasso, in fact I had to google that to make sure I got it right. Maybe Picasso didn't say it at all, but some smarty pants did and that's good enough for me. You know how sometimes you'll hear a story or see a piece on the Discovery channel about some weird Amazonian insect or spider laying eggs in someone's leg or something? And they don't know until it hatches and crawls out? That's how art is for me. I won't even know the eggs have been laid, but one day I'll wake up and want to try something I'd never considered before. And I'll feel compelled to do it until all the spiders have crawled out. Right now I'm focusing on large scale, comic-book style portraiture and nudes. They bring a lot of joy to my clients and they're incredibly fun for me to paint as well.
