Visual Art – Cleveland

Lemon was born in Toledo, Ohio in 1996 and lived in Avon Ohio until age 21. She first attended Lorain County Community College and transferred to Kent State University where she is finishing up her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major focus in painting. Over the past 4 years of her college career, she has exhibited in multiple group shows. She was awarded an art prize at the student annual show at Lorain County Community College in 2017. She works in 2D mediums including drawing, printmaking, and painting. Her work tends to be expressive of personal identity, which for Lemon includes experiences as a queer feminist woman. Recently she has began to focus on work that unpacks the experience of being a young person struggling with mental health issues. She draws in an audience with bold use of color that demands the attention of the viewer to meet the subject matter.
