Lin Lin Hu

I am Lin Lin Hu. I am a resident artist at News Pilot artist loft in downtown San Pedro, South of Los Angeles, California. I am originally from Taipei, Taiwan, born and raised there until I was 23 years old and started studying art at Academy of Art college in San Francisco. Before moving to United States, I was a Chinese history major at National Taiwan University without academic art training. I love cultural studies, philosophy and arts in general so I decided to learn art from the basics in a western country so that I could expend my horizon in understanding this world. My family is a mixture of Taiwanese, Cantonese and Japanese so the cultural diversity comes easy for me. Upon graduating the art school, I launched myself into textile design industry. I have worked for home textile companies for 15 years. I decided to be a full-time artist by the end of 2014. Painting is my passion. I use different media when I design, and am still learning new techniques and tools to paint everyday.
