A classically trained pianist and accomplished musician, Lydia René’s sound is best described as smooth, funky, soul. Puckered with sonic surprises, it is infused with jazz riffs and alternative stylings that help take the listener to a higher musical plateau than that of the norm.
Lydia has shared the stage with GRAMMY Award winners and nominees such as Eric Roberson, Wayna and Jean Baylor. She has also had the opportunity to work with acclaimed producers and musicians like Burn N Bush (Lauryn Hill, Aretha Franklin), Rick Carlos (J-Lo, Nelly), Harry Wilson (John Legend, Kindred The Family Soul)and Stan Davis (Kindred The Family Soul, Kelly Rowland, Teena Marie). Not limiting herself to her own project, she’s also had the opportunity to write and pitch music to multi-platinum artists Toni Braxton, Melanie Fiona and Lil’ Mo.
Lydia is originally from Philadelphia but now resides in Los Angeles CA where she just finished working on her debut studio project \"Vintage Heart\". She teamed up with GRAMMY nominated producer Jameel Roberts (Usher, J. COLE, Nicki Minaj) to create her unique sound. She\'s also just won the prestigious LAMN JAM competition previously won by Aloe Blacc. While in LA Lydia had the opportunity to perform at the Taste Of Soul Music festival along with other performers such as Antonique Smith, Tyrese, Tank, Syleena Johnson and Raheem Devaughn.
As Lydia René builds upon her ever-growing fan base she continues to touch audiences with the musical dexterity of her live performance.
