Lynn Cobb

Accessories – San Francisco

Ms. Cobb has been a jewelry designer for over 15 years working exclusively with fine silver for the past 9 years. Her work has been honored as a finalist in the prestigious Saul Bell Design Award competition, 2011 and published, most recently in Showcase 500 Art Necklaces as well as numerous other books and journals. Fine silver jewelry is .999 pure in comparison to sterling silver which is only .925. Some pieces are accented with 22 karat gold. Using the revolutionary technique of metal clay sculpting, carving, molding and kiln firing each piece at 1650F, Ms. Cobb is able to achieve dramatic 3-dimensional designs that would be impossible using traditional metal smithing. She has developed a method for creating spectacular flower pendants and rings. They are vibrant, sensual, delicate and bold. Her technique was showcased in Art Jewelry Metal Clay, 2012. Her quirky Castle and Hut ring series was profiled in Jewelry Artist, May 2012 (yurt) and Belle Armoire Jewelry, 2013 (medieval castle.) Recently, Ms. Cobb has added a line of sea life inspired pieces, many accented with natural sapphires. Her work can be found at fine craft shows around the San Francisco Bay Area and on her Etsy site: www.etsy.com/shop/lynncobb
