Max Brown

I studied visual arts at Emily Carr University in Vancouver, and now live in the Okanagan with my two year old daughter, who is stupendous. Sometimes we collaborate, but mostly I work when she\'s asleep. In my paintings I search for meaning and narrative by combining figures with abstract patterns and washes. The relationships between these elements do not always have a deliberate intention for the viewer, but are meant to help me build a better understanding of art, life, and the world.
