Megan Moore

Visual Art – Minneapolis

Artist Statement My work is a study of form, color and composition. Painting primarily with acrylics and oils, I create illustrative images with strong line work and a sense of balance and calm. Art Nouveau and the Arts and Crafts Movement, which is sometimes cited as a prelude to Modernism, influence my style. I am inspired by naturally occurring patterns and organic forms. I explore pattern, light and shadow, and color in my paintings. My background in illustration manifests in many of my works, lending a narrative nature to the compositions.
