Visual Art – Orange County

Printmaker, as well as a maker of all sorts. Interested in all forms of mediums, as well as the conversations they have together once combined. My work usually involves screen printing, relief printing, drawing, photography, wood working, sewing, and collage. I tend to work from memories, or pieces of the present that evoke memories of the past. To bring temporary peace to an ever-turning mind is the ultimate success in my prints. Creating concrete and tangible representations of some of the most unclear memories that I can recall is the basis of my work. Taking fragments of things that I can recollect from the past, and merging them together to transform these memories from a choppy mental slide show, and into a smooth comprehensive and physical piece of personal evidence, is what delivers this peace of mind. I like to set forth an image that brings my own mixed feelings to the surface. Feelings of nostalgia and a bittersweet combination of decay and of beauty.
