Growing up in a multi-racial, military family and having five sisters and two brothers, she has always had a respect for the obligation of setting an example by creating a standard that represents who she is in her truest elements. Monica-Crystal bleeds creativity and appreciates passion while thriving on healthy competition. \"M-C\" as she is known to her friends enjoys writing, martial arts/yoga, painting, acting, and performing her music. She draws from many forms of music including: Blues, Jazz, Rock, Funk and Soul inspirations. Glimpses of her uncommon life can be heard and felt though her lyrical performance; she has been writing songs since she was a child and recording music and performing since she was an adolescent. This beautiful songstress is a free spirit and a risk-taker with an open mind and a compassionate heart. In the spring of 2012, Monica-Crystal achieved a long-time goal of hers by founding a nonprofit organization The Gifted Stars Of Venus Fund, dedicated to inspiring young women living in foster care. She is at home performing acoustic sets for intimate audiences or for large crowds with a full band!
