The prismatic lens /
of my camera beckons the /
Rockies. /
Ocean. /
Moon. /
closer to me. /
My eyes flit romantically /
against the viewfinder. /
A thousand photographs /
waltz before me /
like polaroid film materializing /
between starving fingers. /
And amongst the /
thousand photographs /
are a thousand words, /
the poetic imaginings of verse /
merging with their /
picturesque counterparts. /
Wonderstruck, /
I deliberate the profound brilliance /
of this palpitating universe. /
It is my storybook, /
it's legacy immortalized /
through the art I create.
