Photography – Baltimore

I graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Fine Arts, concentrating in Graphic Design. During my education, I took classes in digital and film photography and was a teaching assistant for my senior photography class. To expand my photography experience, I participated in a workshop at Glen Echo, experimenting with portrait photography using polaroid film in medium and large format camera; the portraits were featured in the PhotoWorks Gallery in May 2012. I have four years of product photography experience with Dayna Designs, a Maryland company that designs and sells collegiate jewelry across the country. I am responsible for photographing the entire product line, using the photographs for marketing materials, catalogs and websites. Jewelry Photography is the most difficult assignment in commercial photography because it is small and very reflective. The photographer must have the right equipment and an eye for detail, qualities that I have been developing over the past couple years. Because of my passion for photography, I am devoted to capturing ‘the shot’ that truly has an impact on my audience and on me. My pictures are a window to my unique world as well as an experience that I can share with my subject. I simply enjoy working with people and am constantly looking for a subject of interest to pursue.
