Visual Art – Seattle

ABOUT NINA ORDUKHANOVA Art has been my passion and a go-to activity for as long as I can remember. My mom, who is a very talented, self-taught artist herself, was the one to introduce me to the wonders of artistic expression. I still have a few drawing pads from my early childhood with sketches of different animals I encountered on our nature walks and mushroom hunting adventures. Today, my passion for art is at its peak, and I finally feel confident exposing it to the world. Although my art style has slightly changed over the years, I never stopped favoring surrealism, psychedelic art, illustration, fantasy and erotica, spiritualism, abstract art(landscapes and plants are my favorites in this style), expressionism, neo-classicism and cubism. My adventurous character and curious nature have kept me open to working with any media I have access to. Today, I have an extensive experience working with ink, pastels, watercolors, oils, acrylics, colored pencils, markers, pyrography on wood, metallic paints and pencils. As soon as I felt too comfortable with hand-drawn art, I started self-teaching AI and AP. I use art as a way of self-expression, storytelling, and internalization. My art sessions have allowed me to reflect on my deepest thoughts, and become whole. To me, nothing is more satisfying than telling a story with shapes, images and colors.
