Patricia J. Brewer-Cummings - Artist Bio “The nature of my work varies from time to time, but it almost always involves other humans. I love realism. I love drawing eyes. Capturing the sparkle in someone’s eyes is exhilarating, and truly brings life to the subject. I love creating a perfect smile – and one exists in each of us, just waiting to be revealed. The joy of watching a face form under my direction is immeasurable.” - Patricia J. Cummings Patricia is a California native who enjoys singing to the top of the stratosphere and writing songs on the guitar. However, her true passion is art. Patricia started getting in trouble in the first grade, drawing portraits of her school mates. She recalls sitting in class reviewing her classmates face to capture every freckle on his face and each sparkle in his eyes. An intent artist at work until her teacher caught her and sent her home with her sketches and a disciplinary note in hand. Patricia’s parents appreciated her artistic ability and provided her with all the tools she needed to achieve any goal she set for herself. Patricia was taught to color and draw by her mother. Her parents bought her a book that showed her exactly how to capture the dimensions and depth of the human face at the local art store. Patricia, also thanks her high school art teacher for exposing her to various techniques and promoting her work. She has sold her artwork throughout the West, and after relocating to Saint Louis, feels she has found a place of true inspiration and freedom. Exhibiting her work recently in venues such as, “Venus Envy Artist’s Showcase 2013”, “Naughty Gras 2013”, “33 January”, “33 September, and Artist’s Market on the Delmar Loop. Patricia loves Saint Louis, but was forced to leave for personal and family reasons, but is very anxious to get her business started in California. Now, after moving back to her family home state, California, Patricia has added a division to Route 66 Fine Art, PortraitArtistoftheStars.com. She specializes in creating custom artwork for your home theater or "cave". Portraits of your family, celebrities, sports figures, movie posters, sports logos, anything that will create that perfect atmosphere for your enjoyment! So far, Patricia has appeared at the Chocolate & Art Show LA, Newport Beach Resort "Beach Party", WOCA Art, and the Laguna Beach "White House" Unite the Vibe, Music & Art show.
