Fashion – Indianapolis

I have always loved making things with my hands. When I was seven years old, I started sewing for the first time. I now have over 20 years of experience creating clothing, accessories, jewelry, and various other crafts. This experience has in turn given me high standards for quality, and I strive to hold myself to those standards. My formal education is in web and graphic design. Knowing how to play with shapes, color, spacing, and other design elements is a skill applicable to any creative medium, and that insight has served me well. Platyfly Studios specializes in affordable handmade goods for the whimsical and mischievous. Mythpunks, cosplayers, reenactors, Pagans, and other fans of fantastical or quirky styles will find just what they are looking for. This business also caters to the gender nonconforming/nonbinary and transgender communities, whose members often have difficulty finding quality off-the-rack clothing that fits properly. I would like to thank my IndieGoGo backers, artist Celeidh Chance, and the Peck family, without whom Platyfly Studios would not exist. P.S. - What the heck is a "platyfly" anyway? A platyfly is, most simply, a platypus with butterfly wings. But more specifically, it comes from my personal affinity for the platypus, and my aunt's tendency to call me Butterfly. It is a reminder to dream big, because anything is possible.
