Hair – Melbourne
♡ I have been a hair lover since forever, and have worked in the industry for 20 years. In that time have managed salons, been a colour technician for a leading colour brand, ran my own business and more recently a qualified trainer and assessor working with students at an academy in Melbourne. I love education and enjoy learning as much as teaching! I truly believe practice is key to fine tuning your skill whatever it may be!
♡ I have two little babies, bright shining lights, whom I have been fortunate enough to nurture pretty much full time until recently. They have taught me more than I knew I could learn - including patience, negotiation and how little sleep your body can actually survive on. I am grateful for the quality time I’ve had with them, and in the same breath, so excited to be back with my hands firmly in hair. I feel it ismy time.
♡ I have never had a coffee in my life. Thought I’d throw that out there! I had someone say to me today, aren’t you a hairdresser and a mum? Next you’ll tell me you don’t drink wine - As if!!
♡ I have naturally wavy frizzy hair, and I couldn’t tell you the last time I wore it pin straight. I could probably count the number of times in my life on one hand that I’ve straightened it. I’m allll about the movement and softness.
♡ I LOVE going to see a movie on my own.. taking myself on a date. It’s the thing that puts me in the happy zone, along with crates of fresh produce at a farmers market and crashing waves on the shore at the beach. Ahh, the little things!
♡ Gentle and kind, witty and funny.. those are my people. Thinking about it, each of my tribe possess these qualities in bucket loads. I feel lucky.
