Visual Art – Washington, D.C.

I am a painter from Washington DC with a Bachelor\'s in Studio Art from Drew University (Madison, NJ). My subject is footwear (sneakers, heels, boots, etc.) with oil paint as my primary medium. My work has been exhibited at Drew University (2010) as well as The Phillips Collection (2013). I view myself as a conceptual artist. I tend to materialize my work in different ways. Whether it be a still life composition, or a mixed media piece using found materials, I treat each piece with a different take each time. Painting footwear allows me to experiment with a wide variety of colors because these fashion pieces often lend themselves to that on their own. I hope to appeal to a wide variety of art lovers by showcasing shoes- a key component in fashion that can turn heads and make people talk.
