Luisa E. Roque raised, studied, and worked in between Puerto Rico and California. Encountered jewelry making in 2009 in Pasadena, CA while creating handmade gifts for friends and family. Shortly after, she became deeply immersed with all jewelry processes, starting her new journey learning the "lost wax" technique in Santa Monica, CA. Furthermore, she has taken and keeps taking different wonderful metalsmith and jewelry workshops including an Anticlastic Raising Workshop by Michael Good in 2013 & 2014. Been Certified as a Bonafide Artisan in Puerto Rico by PRIDCO and affiliated to the Cultural Institute of Puerto Rico. With these opportunities at hand, created ROQUE designs to channel her artisan and organic jewelry pieces. ROQUE designs is about rendering jewelry pieces that make raw and organic a powerful statement.
