Rebeckah Wurzbacher - Makeup Artist

Beauty – Brisbane

My curiosity for makeup started 5 years ago when SPFX meant creating a wound with tissues, a peel off cucumber face mask, eye shadows and cheap blood that I would stock up on every Halloween. Makeup means so much more to me now. In July, I graduated from the Academy of Makeup in Brisbane, where I completed a Diploma of Specialist Makeup Services. I enrolled in the course to advance and build on my existing skills as a makeup artist. I love SPFX makeup. Injury simulation is my weakness, the more disturbing and realistic i can create, the better. I also enjoy theatrical, fantasy, fashion and photographic makeup. I love experimenting with colour; from monochromatic to clashing colours like they did in the 80’s, which is my favourite decade for makeup inspiration. OMG, AIRBRUSHING! Apart from learning SPFX, airbrushing was the next best learning experience for me while studying. It’s an amazing tool to own as a makeup artist, I think I would be quite lost without it now.
