Visual Art – Portland

Growing up in the Portland area, art has been a huge part of my life. I have always enjoyed looking at it, but up until my sophomore year in high school, I never thought I could be an artist. One day, my grandmother was sitting in her art studio painting. I decided to sit next to her and give it a try. I had no idea art was so complex and emotional. From that day forward I began to understand colors, shapes and depth. Not only did I see these things within art, but in the world around me as well. Art is a journey. I am able to express my deepest thoughts and emotions through my art. When I'm drawing or painting I feel like I am creating a whole new universe on paper. Art inspires me because there is no limit to creativity. I want to try every different type of art I can. I'm always learning new things and continually challenging myself. I have come to realize that everything in this world is art and design. I truly believe there would be no world without art. I myself would be lost without it. Currently I am working on a bunch of different projects containing many various mediums. Aside from my graphic art, I run a photography business and am working on getting another business up and running very soon!
