Photography – Washington, D.C.

A little about me, I am from and live in Washington, DC. I studied photography at Rochester Institute of Technology where I earned my BFA in photojournalism. Afterwards, I didn't want anything to do with photography, so I quiet. I dabbled here and there throughout but it wasn't until I realized I missed it and digital proved it was here to stay that I returned full force. I retaught myself the craft but really it was like riding a bicycle; once you learn you really don't forget. I spent 30 years in public service. My photography is my creative outlet, my solace, my time to reflect and to rejuvenate. Most photographers will tell you they pre-visualize their images before ever going out to create them. I, on the other hand, see in images. That means when I find something visually appealing, it presents itself as an image. So, everything outdoors is fair game to me for creating. I always wished I could draw to capture what I see, needless to say, that is not where my talent lies. Instead, my camera is the artistic tool I use to share my visions of the world.
