Visual Art – Omaha

I have been drawn to fire most of my life. It is no coincidence that manipulating fire has become my passion and a means by which for me to create my art. From the campfires in Michigan where I grew up my love for the flame has brought me all over the country to share and gain knowledge and experience through various professional workshops. I now reside in Woodbine, IA, a short drive from Omaha, NE where my wife and I own a glassblowing studio. I often joke that I am no more than a professional bubble maker but in truth I am an artist who speaks through his medium and though I may not always know what I am about to say, my work certainly has a message. Growing up I understood sociology quite well thanks to my mother and I know having that deeply rooted into my subconscious has and effect on my work. It is important for artists to make work that is more than just pretty to look at. We are the bearers of messages heard and unheard and things seen and unseen. It is our job to present them to you whether you are ready for them or not. We are the original historians of culture.
