Beauty – Indianapolis
I began my career in Denver finshing cosmetology school, straight out of high school. I\'ve been working as a stylist for 17 years. My love for hair began when I was 12. I worked in a salon sweeping up hair for a babysitter of mine. That\'s when my affair began...I\'ve been working on my resume for a long time. I said to my basic instructor my first week of school, you will read about me some day! I am currently listed as the Top Razor Cutter in The Indianapolis Monthly. Well I was in the issue a couple years ago,and no one has taken it from me! Also have done several ads and a couple covers for the Monthly. Razor cutting began as my first love in school. I won 3rd place in the International Rocky Mountain Hair Show in 1996,as a student. The judges asked how i learned to cut like that! It just always came easy to me. I was asked to do hair for a swimsuit catalog in the Dominican Republic, in 2002. (nice trip, but corny as a professional). I try to give back to the community as well. Pink Ribbon Connection asked me to help w/ their 2011 calendar. They were sold all over the city! I opened my salon,Shear Artistry Sept.2011,in Broad Ripple.(103 salons in 1 mile radius).
