Hi I am Kim and I have been in the beauty industry for 5 years now. I studied and graduated from the aveda institute and from there I completed an extensive apprenticeship at an award winning salon. I’m located in boulder at on broadway the salon has amazing views and great vibes. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Rudy miles on cutting and coloring techniques. I’ve traced to Chicago to take classes from my hair mentors Guy Tang and Larissa Love. Education didn’t stop there I had a pleasure working with Sam villa and TLCs very own Nick Arrojo. I look forward to show casing my work at RAW. I’ve worked along side two amazingly strong women Abi and Daydree who will be working with me through this amazing experience Hello my name is Daydree Wilson, having the opportunity to do hair as a career has been a Dream come true. When I was a little girl i pushed myself out of my comfort zone with my own curly textured locs, I struggled so hard with being so different and having what people called “crazy poofy hair”, that I, 13 at the time just wanted to fit in. I knew i had to to do something about it. Everyday I would create a new updo for myself, but it took me patience, studying and confidence. Having just those three things gave me my first big opportunity of being lead makeup/hairstylist of my high schools performing Arts production “Hairspray” that was published in the news paper. Being chosen for that gave me so much confidence, that by Graduation I was Nominated “Best Hair” Class of 2012, with over more than 600 students. I knew Hair was my passion, So after HS I pursued my cosmetology license in 2013, I have since than competed in Junior Style stars, ranking 10th place in the United States, I’ve attended many education courses my favorite being Stephen Moody, I’ve been apart of a Colorado’s, RedBall fashion Show, And now RAW, My passion I would say is forsure Bridal Hair and Makeup, but honestly anything with being creative, unique, and making someone feel as condident as can be,I want to be apart of. We are more than our hair, but our hair makes us feel beautiful or handsome, and Unique. This is my Dream.
