Visual Art – New York - NYC

I consider myself a Creative, with a capital C. I\'ve always been attracted to anything and everything artistic, from music, acting and writing to now the visual arts. But out of all the things I\'ve done, including writing, recording and producing my own album back in 2006, the art that I\'m now doing is what feels the most authentic. It\'s what I think I came here to do and allow to flow through me. I work on paper because I love it. I love the feel of good paper and how the ink fills the fibers and creates, creates, creates. Every time I\'m in my tiny studio working, I\'m excited about what I\'m doing and I feel I\'m part of a mystery. I\'ve never taken an art class and I have a combination of color blindness & color memory issues. Therefore, when I\'m finished with a piece, it\'s always a magical surprise that it ever got done & that I was a part of that creation. I mean, what\'s not to love when you\'re a part of that? By working continuously & not putting any limitations or rigid rules about what I\'m \"supposed\" to be doing, I\'ve so far allowed the art to guide me and as long as I stay out of its way, it\'s always taken me to places I never even thought of.
